Snack Studio: My Favourite Low-Carb Snacks
Snack Studio makes some of my favourite low-carb snacks in the UAE. Here's my honest, flavour-by-flavour review of every savoury stick, cookie drop, and hummus chip I've tried, plus what to dip them all in.
How I found them
These are made with clean, real ingredients, no preservatives and no artificial flavour enhancers. If you're trying them for the first time, they might not wow you straight away. But they're 10,000 times better than any other snack that's full of harmful ingredients. Once you actually savour them, you'll start to love them too.
I found this brand at the very beginning of my keto journey. I was craving cookies one day, I wanted something sweet so badly, and there were no keto options available for quick delivery. That's when I found Snack Studio, a UAE brand you can easily order through Talabat.
Once I read the nutrition facts and the ingredients, I was so happy this brand existed. Snack Studio has safe options from sweet to savoury, and the prices are affordable too. I ordered double choco-chip and cranberry choco-chip first.
You can find them at snackstudio.com.
Why it works for keto
For someone living the keto lifestyle, this is a very safe option. The savoury products have no sugar and a very low carb content. For the sweet varieties, they use coconut sugar. I enjoy about 2 to 4 cookie drops a day, that's my limit, and it's perfectly fine, it won't give you a massive sugar spike. As long as you're mindful of the quantity you're eating, this is a genuinely healthy option.
These are the flavours I've tried and my honest thoughts on each.
Savoury sticks

- Sundried tomato. It has a very unique flavour, you can taste the herbs in it. Once you start eating it you won't stop, it's addictive, so be careful. Definitely a 9/10.
- Green olive. The olive taste is very prominent and it's crunchy, with a nice fresh herb aftertaste.
- Fresh zaatar. Fresh zaatar taste in every bite. When you bite into the sesame seeds it adds a nice taste, and it gives you a kind of smoky taste in your throat.
These aren't just for snacking on either. Break them up and use them as croutons over a salad, or crumble them on top of a meal for extra crunch.
Cookie drops

- Cranberry choco-chip. This is the one I fell in love with at first. Once you open the packet you can smell the cranberry in it. When you bite into it, it's very gooey, you can bite into dried cranberry pieces and little melted chocolate pieces. It's delicious, and 2 to 3 cookie drops is a healthy amount to satisfy a sugar craving.
- Vanilla choco-chip. It doesn't look like a typical vanilla cookie, it has a golden brown colour. You can taste the oat and vanilla flavour very strongly, and it's not a crumbly cookie, it's soft and gooey. Personally I like that. You get delicious chocolate chips in every cookie drop. I can't betray the cranberry choco-chip, but this is my second favourite.
- Peanut choco-chip. This is the dream for a peanut-choc lover. My husband's favourite. Rich in peanut with a little chocolate chip.
- Double choco-chip. This one is a little crumbly, and rich in chocolate. Delicious.
All of these cookies are perfect added to a yoghurt bowl, fruit salad, ice cream, or enjoyed on their own. A genuinely healthy replacement for your regular cookie.
Savoury hummus chips
- Green olive. The olive oil taste is there, a bit tangy, and you can taste the chickpea flavour toward the end.

- Fresh basil. The name really lives up to it. It's crispy, and the basil taste is very prominent. This one's my favourite of the savoury range.

- Red pepper. This one doesn't really taste like much on its own, it has a kind of smoky flavour.

- Chilli lime. This one will surprise you, and it's probably not for everyone. That first bite crunch is satisfying, it's tangy, you can really taste the lime in it, and then it leaves a hint of spiciness. Surprisingly delicious.

- Lemon cumin. Similar to the chilli lime without the spiciness, but the cumin taste isn't something I enjoy as much, compared with the chickpea blend.

Dipping suggestions
Both the savoury sticks and the hummus chips are made to be dipped. Here's what I'd reach for with each.
- Cream cheese or garlic dip
- Whipped feta or tzatziki
- Labneh
- Hummus
- Baba ganoush
- A tomato and basil dip, almost like a low-carb marinara
- Guacamole
- A spiced yoghurt dip, like a simple raita
My favourites
If I had to pick, it's the sundried tomato sticks, the cranberry choco-chip cookie drops, and the fresh basil hummus chips. But honestly, there wasn't a single flavour on this list I regretted trying.
